It’s no secret that a musical prodigy can hide in just about anyone, and this video of a 23-month-old talented boy is perfect proof of that.
Meet Howard Wong, a little and excited man who was almost two years old at the time of filming. His dad decided to put him right in front of his trusty drumset, and it turns out that little Howard definitely had an affinity and passion for music, even at such a young age.
Equipped with a camera, dad put up one of Howard’s favorite songs as background music.
It doesn’t take long before the little boy grabs his drumsticks and starts playing the instrument with incredible energy!
His sense of rhythm is exceptional and it’s clear that the percussion is absolutely spot-on with the background music. Little Howard clearly seems to enjoy banging on the drums, and he’s a big fan of using the cymbals too.
He’s definitely feeling the beat and is fully focussed on delivering a flawless and professional performance. It’s as if Howard had been doing this for years!
The contrast between the adorable cute Howard and the rather aggressive sounding drum truly makes for a very special video that has left the internet absolutely awestruck.
With almost 20 million views, Howard has definitely become an internet sensation!
Everybody agrees that this little boy has incredible talent and is simply amazing.
As Howard’s performance comes to an end, he finishes up with one more impactful hit on one of the cymbals and an immensely cute grin on his face. This almost two-year-old’s performance leaves the viewers wanting for more. Luckily, Howard’s dad uploaded a lot more footage to YouTube.
This video was published in 2008, meaning that Howard is now a 12-year-old boy. Over the past few years, a couple of videos have been uploading to the ‘Kitzwong’ YouTube channel, showing Howard’s musical progression.
Dad even revealed a video of Howard drumming when he was just 18 months old, but his talent really starts shining even brighter at a later age.
At just three years old, little Howard was already performing along with his dad at a carnival mall festival in front of quite a large audience – and they clearly loved every single bit of it!
They just can’t stop watching Howard perform along with the band his dad and a couple of friends put together.
That same year, he performed the song “I Hate Myself for Loving You” wearing a Christmas hat, and it’s about the most adorable thing we’ve seen all day.
Fast forward a couple of years, and it’s clear that Howard hasn’t lost his feeling for music. On the contrary! At seven years old, he was asked to perform at another event.
He definitely doesn’t seem shy for an audience, as he uses the percussion instrument with the same amount of energy and passion as before – only now it’s even better, more detailed and faster.
The boy has developed his own drumming technique and musical style just a couple of years after that at nine years old, and he gladly performed in front of a large audience once again.
The most recent video shows us 10-year-old Howard, who now wears glasses, brilliantly drumming away on dad’s trusty drum set.
