The US Open Swing Championships is one of the most popular events for the most skilled swing dancers from all across the globe. Founded in 1983, it is known as the “Super Bowl of Swing Dance,” so you can imagine just how stiff the competition is!

In 2016, however, a teenage couple completely annihilated the dance floor with their spectacular moves.

Although their moves seem to flow so naturally, they have both been dancing since a very young age – both teens have been training since the age of five!

And having a love for dance that runs in their blood certainly helps, too.

Ryan and Alexis get their natural talent from their mothers, who both competed in swing competitions throughout their lives. In fact, both mothers were actually competing against each other, but now they have “found themselves on the same team.”

Naturally, when the offspring of these two champions paired up they became a force to be reckoned with on the dancefloor.

As the couple took to the stage at the most prestigious swing dance competition in the world, nobody really knew what to expect. In 2016, they had only been dancing for a year together – so their perfect chemistry took even the judges by surprise.

Even back then, it’s clear to see that these two are absolute pros – from their moves, which they choreographed themselves, to their matching outfits. They knew exactly how to swing their way into everyone’s hearts.

If you watch the video that’s been viewed more than 2.6 million times, they’ll swing into your heart too.

The fabulous duo danced to WALK THE MOON’s quirky and upbeat song “Shut Up and Dance.”

“They did a fabulous performance, doing mostly their own choreography and commanded the floor with their lines, patterns, musicality and showmanship!” Ryan’s mother, Debbie Ramsey Boz, gushed in the YouTube description.

Although the spins, twirls, and flips are executed to technical perfection, there’s just something magical about the way they glide across the floor…

It’s just so fun to watch!
