The Céline Dion classic was a great choice for the couple’s routine, and left us with goosebumps even before the performance had begun. When a song has so much depth and emotion to it, it’s important that the routine is able to match the energy- and this one certainly did.

Alexa and Chris first became skating partners in 2012, and their work relationship soon blossomed into something more.

This dancing duo really are something special. Since 2015, they’ve taken home multiple titles including the award of the bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

But Alexa and Chris’s emotional routine to “My Heart Will Go On” is without a doubt one of our favorites so far.

The routine begins with Chris holding Alexa in his arms. She’s looking gorgeous in a cream-colored lacy number, while Chris’ brown satin shirt and smart black pants complete the look perfectly.

The skating is smooth, slow and graceful, and is mixed with many lifts and spins to keep us guessing what’s going to happen next.

The Knierims were also sure to throw in their signature move called the “quad twist,” which involves Chris throwing his wife into the air. In a gymnastic act which should be impossible to pull off, Alexa spins four times while up in the air, before landing perfectly back into his arms.

According to a First Coast News article, they were the first Americans to pull off the move in the Olympics.

There’s no denying that these skaters are also brilliant at dancing and gymnastics, and we’re left in awe at how easily Chris lifts his wife into the air using just one hand.

There is also a lift which involves Chris throwing his wife into the air- but instead of being caught by him, Alexa spins through the air and lands on one leg. How is that even possible?

People all over the world have been taken aback by the couple’s spectacular routine, and took to the YouTube comments to leave their complements to the husband-wife duo:
