Although the song ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ was released in the 1930s these girls

The Trío Ladies (or Ladies TRIO as they’re sometimes listed on their social media pages) are a vocal group of – you guessed it – three women from Lviv, Ukraine.

According to their Facebook bio, they cover retro, jazz, pop, folk, and electro-swing music.

The captivating performers are Olha Verkholiak (who is a soprano and a violin player), Chrystyna Dutchak (a mezzo-soprano), and Ivanna Saviuk (the alto and also the songwriter for many of the trio’s own hits).

The group was established in 2010 and they cover classics from artists ranging from Michael Jackson to the 30s and 40s boogie-woogie sensations The Andrews Sisters. In fact, it’s their covers of The Andrews Sisters’ repertoire that have earned them the most views on their YouTube channel.

But they perform their own music as well!

However, their cover of “Sing, Sing, Sing” has earned them over 1.7 million views since it was uploaded in August of 2014.

Dressed in the WWII off-duty dress that boogie-woogie groups sometimes sported during performances, the modern trio’s video is a throwback to the heydey of the genre.

They even found a 1940s-era cab that appears in the background throughout.

After the driver lets them out of the car, they begin to perform.

It’s a simple video in which the vocals are front and center as the women perform mostly synchronous arm movements.

Their harmonies are also spot on and it’s hard to believe three voices can sound so in sync.

While The Andrews Sisters were actual sisters, the Trio Ladies are not – and yet they manage to sound like their voices were made to go together.

Many YouTube fans gushed about the video:

“Aaah, Man! This is KILLER! This is like a time-trip! Love it! Great music. Great set. Great costume and make-up. Great orchestra. AND GREAT LADIES. Great Production,” said one man.

Even though this performance is vintage and The Andrews Sisters provided inspiration for many of their early performances, the Trio Ladies perform plenty of contemporary music as well.

And they appear to have a large Spanish-speaking fan base and have performed throughout South America.

For those who took the time to watch and then criticize the video in some way (for example, when a more contemporary car “spoils” the feel as it drives by the 40’s set), the Trio Ladies had the perfect response:

“Ohh you should give it a try listening to our new and original music, this [was] our first attempt of doing some videoclips that got us somewhere here where we live. Nothing original, but it doesn’t mean it was easy, this was already 8 years ago, and everybody starts from something. Thanks for your feedback anyways.”

It’s a pretty great video for being among their first tries!

Other people had nicer things to say:

“I think the vocals are flawless. The choreography and presentation set a new high standard for close harmony swing performance. And this is only one style these Trio Ladies perform. Truly a class act. Hope to see more from them.”

Whether you think they did justice to the original or not, it’s worth a peek at the unique and entertaining performance.
