It takes two to tango!

This elementary-aged duo brought their talents to the streets of Manhattan in New York City’s 5th Annual Dance Parade & Festival.

And they have some seriously smooth moves!

This festival is held each May (except 2020 – I’m looking at you, coronavirus) with the goal of bringing unity and joy to the greater Manhattan community.

With over 100 types of dance represented, this festival seeks to exemplify the cross-cultural and transgenerational powers of dance!

From modern hip-hop and flash mobs to traditional group dances and waltzes, this parade has it all.

This video, featuring two tiny dancers, is a wonderful representation of everything the parade hopes to portray:

Timelessness, unity, and artistic freedom!

This dynamic duo demonstrated their talents in the 2011 parade by performing a traditional ballroom dance.

They show their older counterparts and young peers just how hip ballroom dancing still is!

Their fast-paced routine involves complex footwork, synchronization, and droves of determination.

But, it’s not all footloose and fancy-free!

Countless hours of practice go into each and every routine.

The young partners are meticulous to land every step perfectly!

They work hard to capture the audience’s attention by bringing young flair to a “traditional” dance style.

Ballroom dancing has been a popular art form for centuries!

To this day, it remains one of dance’s great gifts to humanity!

Ballroom dancing has a long history of incorporating rhythm, passion, and compatibility into each performance.

The young partners do a great job of integrating all of these elements into their own powerful production.

The dynamic duo gets ready for a tasty twirl!

The tiny dancers continue, hand in hand, strutting their stuff on the streets of Manhattan.

They continue to carry out their synchronized movements. Moments later, they begin a daring flurry of twirls.

They aren’t half bad! Look at that speedy footwork and deep focus!

They’re gaining momentum! The crowd loves them! Can you move like that?

I know I can’t!

Are you a wannabe dancer? Are you secretly practicing by watching your reflection in your bedroom mirror and hoping no one sees?

Maybe I’m just projecting. Hey, there’s no judgment here!

You can definitely learn a thing or two from watching these strapping young dancers.

Admittedly, I’m not well versed in proper ballroom dancing techniques, but I do have a long history of pretending to be a professional dancer in the comfort of my own home!

It doesn’t always take two to practice tango!

Have you ever dreamed of competing on Dancing with the Stars, or are you simply looking to pass the quarantine hours?

Maybe you want to sign the kids up for another extracurricular activity or you’re just looking to impress that girl in the club?

Well, look no further!

Ballroom dancing is a viable option for the entire family!

It’s safe (although it may be hard to stay six feet apart – again, thanks coronavirus…), fun, and a great source of exercise.

This isn’t your mother’s Zumba class!

There’s nothing quite like dance, just ask these two!

By this point, the NY Hustle Flash Mob has stepped into clear focus.

The parade must go on!

These two fleetfooted dancers wrap things up as the audience watches in awe!

They did a fantastic job, and everyone knows it!
