Elvis Presley may have popularized the song “Hound Dog,” but it wasn’t originally written for him.

The credit for the song goes to Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who penned it for Willie Mae “Big Mama” Thornton in 1952.

However, it was Freddie Bell and the Bell Boys who gave the song a new twist, replacing some of the racier lyrics with more light-hearted ones, considering the sensibilities of the time.

The revamped version of “Hound Dog” was a hit when Freddie Bell and the Bell Boys performed it in Las Vegas in 1956.

It was here that Elvis Presley first heard the song, took a liking to it, and decided to record it.

The song has since become a timeless classic, sung and loved by people of all ages, including children.

This is evident when you see three adorable kids who took to the stage to dance to this catchy tune.

The King himself, Elvis Presley, played a significant role in making the song famous. Now, imagine three little kids dressed in cute costumes, dancing to this iconic song.

There’s something truly special about allowing children to express themselves through song and dance. It not only builds their confidence but also improves their motor skills.

Plus, it gives them a fun way to channel their energy, a note that parents might want to take.

Introduce these kids to Elvis, show them his music, and explain his iconic status.

Who knows, one of these kids might find inspiration in his music and develop a love for rock and roll.

The dance steps they perform are not overly complicated, which is perfect for their age.

However, the choreographer deserves credit for incorporating elements from the era when the song was released. And let’s not forget the little guy who showcases his gymnastic skills!

There might be a reason why the little gymnast is at the front and center of the performance – he’s good!

The two little girls also do a fantastic job of keeping up with the rhythm of the song.

This young man, however, seems to have a promising future.

While there are many Elvis impersonators out there, he might just carve out his own unique style.

Another viewer, Rachel Garcia, was impressed by the children’s performance, commenting, “A lot to memorize. Pretty good job for that age.”

It’s heartening to see that there are still people who encourage children to express themselves through the arts, rather than leaving them alone with gadgets.

The internet, while useful, can be harmful if not supervised by an adult. Besides, dancing is way more fun!
