I couldn’t stop smiling, they made this so fun.

The great west brings to mind men in jeans, wearing hats and cool boots, riding a powerful horse just chasing the sun, shooting bandits and sometimes, ARE the bandits. Cowboys have been the subject of many books and films, filling the minds of young boys all over the world. And while some leave it to the books and their imagination, there are those who try to live a piece of that lifestyle.

Now we’re not talking about guns and horses. Not in this world we live in. But what else could these aficionados take away from that era of living? Certainly not fist fights in saloons and gun battles in the streets?

Well for one there’s the fashion. And if they can dress that way then why not dance that way too?

Look at these guys. They have the look down so what now? Well it’s a beautiful day out so let’s dance!

Now this is line dancing turned up to ten! These three amigos explode with so much energy the moment they face the camera. They immediately hop, kick, and swing to the music clearing showing that they are pros.

Here’s the twist. They’re not American. Portuguese is more like it.

The man in the middle is Warlei Oliveira and on his Facebook page he says,

Here you will know my style and my passion … Cowboy style and dance in the heart.

Translated from Portuguese of course. He does have the heart and passion for it as evidenced on his YouTube channel. He is unbelievably limber and athletic for a line dancer.

The other two gentlemen are Drama Lendario and Rodrigo Assis, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out how they’re all about the country line dancing life too!

Now line dancing is thought of as a dance for beginners. All people have to do is to form a line or rows and follow the steps over and over again all the way to the end of the song. It is the same steps done to counts which makes it near impossible to miss.

It’s alright to make mistakes too!

Basic movements are done with the legs and feet while the more advanced steps include the arms and hands. Like what Warlei, Drama, and Rodrigo are doing here. Enough to scare away the first-timers, gents!

Theirs is a jump, side kick, spin, and a barrage of other movements set to a high tempo. Now it really is fun to watch and it’s amazing to think they can move like that with jeans and boots on.

There’s even a spin, then with arms raised, they cock an invisible rifle and shoot before going back to the sequence of kicks, jumps, and boot clicks in mid-air.

It’s a whirlwind of energy from three Portuguese men who are all smiles throughout the dance!

It’s not that big a deal as Portugal has a variety of influences including folk music. With the technology we have, the world seems to be a much smaller place now. One click and anyone can learn anything even from the most remote regions of the planet.

These three men seem to have found their click though and with their high-energy style of line dancing, will definitely be influencing other s to do the same in the future.
