When someone has the confidence to take a popular hit song, then perform it for family and friends during a small concert, people should take notice. Especially when that singer does the song justice and more. This young lady sang with her friend at the Mount Sion Choir Christmas Concert. She just gave everyone in attendance something to think about.
That night, a star was born.
The song is “Shallow” by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and is from the film, A Star is Born. The song was a massive hit and topped charts in many different countries while critics and fans applauded and praised the writing and singing of all involved. It’s a great song.
But of course you would expect that from someone as talented as Lady Gaga. She’s known for unbelievable vocals and has produced countless hits. She’s as talented as can be.
So is this young lady.
Her name is Jessica Reinl and with her friend, Christopher Halligan, they put on a stunning display of singing even their choir friends can’t help but smile when hearing these two. Keep an eye out for them.
Don’t underestimate Christopher. He starts it off with a great tone and the right amount of power. His voice is very soul, sounding a bit like John Legend in some parts. This dude is something else!
“Tell me somethin’, girl
Are you happy in this modern world?
Or do you need more?
Is there somethin’ else you’re searchin’ for?”
He could probably sing this song by himself if he wanted to!
Jessica takes over. Nothing spectacular at first, just casually singing the lines as cool as she can be. She doesn’t even look nervous. Maybe it’s because she has her friends with her? Or is she used to dropping jaws when singing?
Then, like a switch flipped, she turns it on delivering a vocal display of insane power hitting each high note perfectly. Jessica is in the building, folks!
“I’m off the deep end, watch as I dive in
I’ll never meet the ground
Crash through the surface, where they can’t hurt us
We’re far from the shallow now”
Even Christopher is giving her that look.
Eventually, he backs her up, singing some of the song’s parts with her. That is until Jessica goes to another level, playing around with the melody using her awesome voice, and once again making the guys in the choir smile and just shake their heads. Someone sign her already!
Now Christopher is a fantastic singer but even he is stunned by Jessica’s vocals.

Nothing shallow about this performance. But look at how they both smile at each other when singing together. Both so humble and yet amazingly talented! And suddenly, everyone in the room stopped what they were doing.
Hopefully, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper saw this stunning duet. Christopher and Jessica should be singing on a bigger stage for larger audiences. And who knows? Maybe they already have.
