It’s always a good thing if you can intentionally make a crowd laugh. But it’s even better if you can leave them rolling in their seats.
A group of teens from Apollo High School performed a talent show act so hilarious, the room couldn’t sit still. Not only were they successful in impressing their classmates – they won over the internet as well. It’s a skit that’s now been watched more than 2.3 million times online!
Get ready for a laugh-out-loud scene straight from the movies.
Ahh, teenage romance. If you were someone who experienced it, you might remember the days of being on innocent first-dates at the local movie theater. The students’ act below puts a comical spin on one couple’s date night, which is supposed to take place at a viewing of The Lion King.
It all starts with a long row of seven chairs.
There are five teens taking up all of the middle seats with the only open ones being at either end. So when the lovebirds come walking in, they’re forced to sit separately. Rats!
However, the guy decides a line of strangers isn’t gonna keep him from communicating with his date.
If you used to play the game “Telephone,” this might bring back memories.
The guy on the right wants to give his lady a wave, but he just can’t seem to get her attention. So what’s a boy to do? Well, pass along the message of course!
With the song “Circle of Life” playing in the background, he gives his neighbor a little wave. Then, the teen motions her to send it on.
Now here’s where the message gets kinda funky.
One by one the movie-goers pass along the wave, reaching two males that are sitting next to each other. When the tall teen randomly waves at his neighbor, let’s just say it seems kinda awkward.
Here comes the big arm stretch.
If you want to get closer with a date, there are many people who pull the old “arm stretch” move to snuggle up. The teen on the right would like to hold his girl closer too, so passes on the message.
Hysterically, the level of awkwardness is heightened when the strangers begin wrapping their arms around each other. Especially, when the message reaches the two guys at the end.
The talent show routine gets funnier and funnier as it goes on.
Just when you think stretching your arm around a stranger seems uncomfortable – it’s even worse grabbing their hand. The hand-grabbing message is passed through the line creating hilarious responses from them all. But of course, the guys at the end steal the show.
Not all dates end with a kiss, but this one sure does!
The act goes to new heights when the teen wants to pass his girl a kiss. Uh-oh, we know what this all means. Suddenly, the strangers have to pass on this message too – leading to epic results.
We don’t know if anyone won any prizes that day. However, these teens sure made a huge splash online with their skit. As it turns out, it’s one that’s been performed at other schools too.
