16-year-old Ryan Woodard may have autism, but this has never stopped the young man from doing what he loves — singing.
It is clear that Ryan loves music. He found an effective way to express himself, which has also helped him cope better with his condition.
The young man has autism, and this is what makes him even more extraordinary. He inspires everyone around him with his talent and his voice is fantastic, that people will not believe that Ryan used to be non-verbal.
Ryan was 10 years old when he started to learn how to speak through memorizing song lyrics.
Reginald Guillaume, more popularly known as YouTuber guitaro5000, invited Ryan for an interview on his channel. In the video, he shares his story along with his Dad, Travis.
During the interview, Ryan shared that he used to be non-verbal. He did not speak until he was 10 years old when he started to talk by memorizing song lyrics. His love for music greatly helped him overcome his speech hurdle and eventually, the young man learned not only to talk but to sing as well.
“What changed my life is music,” Ryan said. “It made me feel more verbal, and it made me feel more confident.”
In the same video, guitaro5000 showed the time when he asked Ryan to join him in front of the audience at a NAMM Convention where he was playing his guitar outside.
Ryan accepted the online star’s invitation to sing in front of the crowd.
The young man decided to sing a song sung by John Mayer, his favorite artist. He prepared to sing the song “Gravity” as Guitaro 5000 started strumming on his guitar. What happened next blew everyone away.
The teen is definitely a great singer with a lot of potential. He is singing from the heart and giving the audience incredible feelings as they listened t him croon in perfect tune. He is one fantastic singer, indeed.
Ryan’s unique voice and emotional performance moved the crowd.
It was a beautiful performance that nobody would surely forget. even the online personality playing the guitar for him is quite taken by the young man’s incredible song.
Talent knows no boundaries, and Ryan is living proof. Who would have thought that this talented singer was once a quiet child? Music gave him a new way to communicate and this is the result of his passion and love for it.
The young singer also plays the guitar and is intent on pursuing music.
Ryan shares on his website that he has enrolled in the School of Rock where he was selected as an Allstar. He also has his own band, the Ryan Woodard Band.
The singer is also capable of solo performances. He does not only sing songs but he also plays his own guitar. Ryan is extremely talented and being autistic has never been an issue. Ryan’s journey is just starting and we are all rooting for him.
