Michael Jackson was dubbed the “King of Pop” for a reason. His beats catch and his moves are solid.

No matter how you feel him, there’s no question that the man could dance. There’s also no question he inspired a generation of millions to take up dancing, too.

Being that he is the King of Pop, his music is recognizable the moment it plays.

The only thing more recognizable are his moves.

That’s to say nothing of his fashion.

Those black shoes with the signature white socks immediately signify that a Michael Jackson impersonation is about to come to the dance floor.

Does anyone else remember that iconic “tap-tap-tap” sound when MJ would walk on stage?

This teen doesn’t mind being called out.

In fact, for a young fella named Brett Nichols, being recognizable as MJ has been a blessing.

Or, maybe talent is the correct word.

After Brett performed a stellar dance routine at Pitman High School where he nailed a Michael Jackson dance extravaganza, he has been quite the topic of interest on the internet.

And we all know impersonating MJ is near impossible for most. It’s an amazing accomplishment all in itself.

So much so, that he was even asked by his high school to return to reprise his performance.

And clearly, his legend lived on amongst his peers, as they go absolutely wild at the first drop of the beat.

This ought to be good.

The legend making video in question happened at the very same spot, and catapulted not only Brett into the limelight, but the attention gained by one of his videos brought the Michael Jackson song “Billie Jean” back to the Hot 100 list.

His talent is addicting and contagious.

He really does have an uncanny talent.

Every little detail, from MJ’s hat tilt to the finger flick, is embodied in Brett’s performance.

Obviously, he even has the outfit down. The black suit with the hat, white socks, leather shoes, tie, and white armband all reflect Brett as the second coming of Michael Jackson.

Maybe the whole “reincarnation” thing is real and that really is MJ. Or his spirit in the kid.

Brett is a king in his hometown.

The crowd loses their minds as he steps through all the classic Michael Jackson moves.

This kid has some serious talent.

Now back in the day, MJ would get the girls crying and even fainting with his insane dance moves. That should be Brett’s next goal.

It’s rare to see a young man with such an interest in past performers like MJ.

Apparently, according to a commenter who went to school with Brett, he is actually an awesome young man:

“Went to school with Brett he’s a very down to earth guy that no one would ever bat an eye to until he built up the courage to show off his true passion. He first did it in 2014 when I was a senior and all I could say was that I was shook just as much at the next person. He’s a hell of a guy and one good dancer!”- melvin dagreat

How about that? Talented and genuine.

When he throws off his jacket, you could not measure the decibels the crowd is putting out.

After Brett’s first video went viral, he understandably became a legend among his classmates.

Now that he had finished his studies, his former peers seem to see him as a living legend.

He doesn’t let his fans down.

“Living legend” isn’t too far off the mark.

I shudder to think of the hours of practice it would have taken this kid to reach this level of perfection.

He has supreme confidence which was present even in his earlier videos.

And of course, it’s not a Michael Jackson dance routine until you do the moonwalk.
