Kyle Tomlinson might have been discouraged when Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams gave him some harsh criticism the first time he appeared on the show.

He was just 12-years-old when Walliams told him that he needed singing lessons.

But that discouragement didn’t last long. Walliams picked himself up and kept going. He practiced and honed his craft and returned to the show for an audition in its eleventh season when he was 15-years-old.

Before his performance, the other judges gave Walliams a bit of a hard time about his tough comments on Tomlinson when he was just 12.

And Tomlinson was a little nervous when judges told him, “Here’s your chance to prove David wrong.”

Those nerves seemed to melt away when he began to sing. And his rendition of “Hallelujah” was phenomenal.

The crowd roared for Tomlinson when he hit those high notes.

The judges lept to their feet when he finished his last note.

The crowd went absolutely wild for him. Tomlinson was so happy that he was able to redeem himself that the sweet boy welled up with a few tears. Such a cutie!

His parents were cheering behind the stage and couldn’t have been more proud.

“You know this just shows you Kyle, when someone grinds you down and tells you ‘You’re not good enough you come back and you look them in the eye and you go, ‘I am good enough,” said Judge Simon Cowel.

When Walliam’s was asked what he thought of the performance he shouted, “I thought it was really good,” before reaching over to slam on the Golden Buzzer.

“I’m really glad you came back and proved me wrong,” Walliam said.

Tomlinson was completely shocked and immediately looked over to his parents for their reaction.

His parents got to run out on stage with him and give him a big victory hug. Walliam also came up on stage for a hug as Tomlinson thanked him.

“You sang with real passion and that’s what it was all about,” said Walliam.

“You gave every single ounce you could possibly give to that performance,” said Cowell.

The judges all agreed that they “really loved it.”
