Who doesn’t adore dancing? While many of us love the idea of dancing, not everyone has the knack for it.
However, there are those who are naturally gifted, making them stand out on the dance floor.
Enter the Junior Shag Dance team (JDST), a group of young, passionate dancers.
Founded in 2008 by Brennar Goree, this team is made up of incredibly talented youngsters.
Their dedication to the art of dance is evident in their achievements: they’re 7-time USA Grand National Team Champions, 5-time US Open Formation Team Champions, and they’ve even clinched the Australian Open Formation Team Championship.
These teens are undeniably a powerhouse in the world of dance.
At the Open Swing Dance Championships, the JDST once again left the audience in awe.
Their performance, set to the tunes of Rick Lee Jones’ “Danny’s All-Star Joint”, James Cotton’s “How Long Can A Fool Go Wrong”, and Aretha Franklin’s “Think”, showcased their immense talent.
The crowd was captivated by their smooth and graceful moves, proving that this was indeed a winning dance number.
The team comprises 14 dancers, which means 7 dynamic pairs. As each duo made their entrance, the girls dazzled in their pink jumpsuits, while the boys looked sharp in their black attire.
As the music began, the dancers launched into their routine, their faces beaming with joy.
Their presence on stage was undeniable, and the audience hung on their every move, eagerly anticipating what would come next. And, without a doubt, the JDST delivered.
The art of shag dancing was elevated to new heights by these teens.
Their mastery of the Carolina shag, combined with their impeccable synchronization, was a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Watching them, it was clear that they had put in countless hours to achieve such harmony.
That day, 28 talented feet danced their hearts out. Their stylish outfits, combined with their undeniable talent and vibrant personalities, made their performance unforgettable.
It was evident that not only were they incredibly skilled, but they were also thoroughly enjoying themselves.
The audience’s reactions were priceless. Their gasps of surprise and cheers of appreciation only made the dancers’ smiles grow wider.

Since its inception in 2008, the JDST has been committed to providing young dancers with opportunities to showcase their talent and win competitions both nationally and internationally.
