It’s no secret that some of the funniest moments come from kids.

When it comes to getting a good laugh, nothing will make your stomach rumble quite like silly children—especially when it comes to spontaneous and random moments like the second-grade students in this video. With the pandemic pausing in-person classes, many of the funniest moments were thanks to Zoom videos.

This might take the cake for 2020 when it comes to hilarious kid videos!

A teacher in El Paso, Texas accidentally dropped off her second-grade zoom class, and what happened next was pretty hilarious.

When I was young, there was no such thing as viral videos, and the only way you were getting a recording of something was if your mom had one of those big cameras that held actual tapes. Otherwise, your only memory of hilarious moments was in your head, and even that usually sufficed.

Luckily for us, times have changed—and now we’re just a YouTube click away from funny videos like this one.

It starts with the teacher from Parkland Elementary dropping off the Zoom class mid-sentence, immediately followed by a reaction from the kids that quickly went viral.

Stephanie Lucianovic is the awesome mother that posted the video to Twitter, where people immediately began sharing the class’s behavior.

Lucianovic, a writer and mother, explained on Twitter:

“The 2nd grade teacher’s screen froze. The kids all told her that happened. No one could hear her. And then she disappeared and mass chaos has broken out.”

That’s when the shenanigans begin.

One of the second graders was savvy enough to notice that the camera was still recording, explaining why they should behave.

“I see that there’s a little record sign at the top of the screen, so the teacher’s recording this, she can watch us and see that was not behaving. And the principle.”

Another kid says “yeah I know” before the funniest line of all comes in, “yep, we’re toast.”

The second-grader explains what “being toast” is before the conversation takes a funny turn:

“Mmm, I want toast,” says one kid, while another says: “Whoever said ‘we’ll be toast,’ whoever said that, I’ll maybe have toast for breakfast tomorrow.”

The talk turns into a full-on food conversation: “Toast and eggs, that sounds really good with lettuce.”

The video posted by Good Morning America ends with the kid who started the whole toast conversation saying: “Not eggs.” It didn’t take long for the funny video to circulate around the internet, making the comical class Insta-famous for the hilarious exchange.

With so many kids going to school through Zoom, this wasn’t the only funny reaction video from students after their teacher dropped off the class.

In another video, a different group of students went viral for the same same thing, and it’s also hilarious.

The Zoom video of the second graders from Parkland Elementary has been viewed over 5.7 million times, with 175,000 people who liked it.

Almost 15,000 people have also left comments for the young students, many crying with laughter from all the “toast talk.”

It’s easy to see why videos like this one are touching hearts and brightening days, and it goes without saying that we really need it in times like these.

With so many negative things going on in the world, all we can do is focus on the good and laugh when we can.
