Certain tunes have the ability to put a spring in your step, and Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” makes a lot of people’s lists. But while it’s a song that has pep of its own – a group of Lincoln, Nebraska cloggers managed to bring it to a whole other level.
Get ready to be amazed by the dance troupe’s performance that was filmed in different outdoor locations. Who knows, they may have you wanting to bust a move in the streets too!
“Tap This!” is the group’s name, and clogging is their game.
They’re a champion dance team that specializes in the energetic style. Tap This! combines various dance forms with “percussive footwork,” and they dazzle crowds across the country with their performances.
According to the troupe’s Facebook page, they’ve won four national clogging championships. It also says:
“For five years the fourteen member group has traveled the country performing on stages in front of thousands of people. Tap This! strives in showcasing talent from all over the nation by creating a variety show like you have never seen before.”
On YouTube, the group has multiple live performances uploaded where they showcase their skills. It’s fun to watch them dance to songs like “Honey, I’m Good” and “Uptown Funk.”
But who’s to say you need a stage to dance?
In the video below, the members of Tap This! lace up their clogging shoes and take over some popular spots in Lincoln. And what better song to let loose to than “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”
One of the first stops is at UNL’s Nebraska Union, where a trio of male cloggers light up the steps of the building with their moves.
The team breaks off into different groups for mini-dances, which were then compiled into one video.
Not only is it entertaining to watch the dancers in action (especially with the great backdrops), but their shoes create a sound that’s mesmerizing as well. The joyous song in the background is like icing on the cake.
It’s not your typical clogging performance.
The routine from Tap This! sprinkles in hip hop moves and some fancy tricks too. They head out in front of a passing train, the Memorial Stadium, and the Pinnacle Bank Arena.
While there’s a lot of variety in the video, one thing that is consistent…they’re all extremely talented dancers!
Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” is a disco-pop and soul song that was created for the animated kids’ movie, Trolls. Many would agree that it makes you want to tap along – and apparently, these dancers feel the same way too.
The team members do more than use their feet though. There are flips, fancy arm movements, and at one point – they even toss one of the females into the air.
