This girl knew she was extraordinarily gifted, and she couldn’t keep it to herself any longer. She secured an audition for the X Factor UK, and before she knew it she was on her way.
Holly Someday is a 15-year-old girl who grew up in Bali. She is still finishing up her high school education, but she already knows what her calling is. She inherited her love of singing from her grandfather, who was a singer in his own band when he was younger. Now, the man is his granddaughter’s number one fan, and this passionate young girl is determined to go where her heart is taking her.
Holly might be young, but she is full of bravery. She has performed in front of all kinds of audiences, and no matter what the circumstances she constantly pursues her passion. When asked by Simon what the smallest audience she had ever performed for had been, the singer admitted that there had been a time when everyone had left the room. Holly might have been discouraged, but she never let it get in the way of her dreams.
This artist knew she was destined for stardom since she was a little girl. “When I was younger I always remember watching the X Factor with my family and being like, ‘That’s gonna be me one day. When am I old enough to do that?” she shared. Now that it was her time to shine, Holly was finally making her childhood fantasy a reality.
She stood in front of the judges and prepared to sing “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys. She took a deep breath in and let her beautiful voice flow out.
The judges were astounded by the angelic voice that was coming from Holly’s mouth. The music seemed to flow effortlessly through her – it was obvious that this girl was truly talented. Holly rocked to the rhythm as her voice gracefully soared and plummeted through each note.
Not surprisingly, this amazing artist made it through to the next round. She finally had an opportunity to share her voice with people all around the globe. Listening to this beautiful voice is enough to brighten anyone’s day.
Holly’s performance is proof that when you have talent, you simply need to show it off. Her story inspires all of us to chase our dreams.
