One of the biggest assemblies of swing dancers is held at the Rock That Swing Festival more popularly knowRTSF.
Their website says, “For more than a decade the festival celebrates the diversity of the dances and music of the Swing and Rock’n’Roll era from the 20s to the 50s. Over a span of 5 days, fantastic dance nights, hot live music, shows, competitions, numerous workshops, dance masters from the 30s, and passionate dancers from all over the world create an inspiring and unforgettable atmosphere.”
Last year, in Munich, they had their 16th International Rock That Swing Festival.
It lasted from February 16th to the 20th, and it was full of excitement.
Among the many talented participants were Nils and Bianca, who are champions in swing dancing.
These two are really something special! They’re not just great dancers; they’re also teachers, performers, and choreographers.
They specialize in Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie, and they’ve won lots of competitions, even big ones like the Swedish championships and the International Lindy Hop Championship.
They’re like the superheroes of swing dance, always looking for new ways to keep things exciting.
Their love for the art comes deep down.
They love swing dancing because it brings people together and makes everyone happy.
Their goal is to help others become amazing dancers and to share the important values of swing dance through their performances.
In this video, they danced to ‘My Girl’ by Otis Redding, and let me tell you, it was like watching magic happen.
With every move, they looked like they were gliding on air.
It was so smooth and graceful like they were born to dance together.
Even when they did some fancy tricks, they made it look easy.
People watching online couldn’t believe their eyes!
They left comments saying how perfect and natural they looked, and how much fun it was to watch them.
