Every child is special, and one of the perks of being a parent is watching them grow up and discover their own unique talents and abilities. Well, the Crosby family didn’t have to wait too long to see the special talent of their adorable little girl, Claire!
At the age of just three, this adorable little singer went viral after performing Disney songs alongside her daddy, Dave. Ever since then, Claire has risen right to the top!
She’s appeared on shows like The Voice and movies like The Little Mermaid, and here she is singing one of the most beautiful songs of all time: Can’t Help Falling In Love, by Elvis Presley.
First recorded in 1961 by the King himself, Can’t Help Falling In Love is partly based on an 18th century French melody called ‘Plaisir d’amour’ (Pleasure of love).
The song has been covered more times than we can count over the years, with artists from many different genres adding their own unique twists to this classic track, and now, it’s Claire’s turn.
The clip starts off with Claire sitting on a classy sofa with a little ukulele in her hands as she introduces the song.
According to the caption, 6-year-old Claire had been working super hard to try and learn the song on the ukulele in order to make this video, and we can see and hear all that effort paying off once she starts to play.
Any musicians out there will know that it takes a lot of talent and practice to sing and play an instrument at the same time, especially when you don’t have much experience with the instrument in question.
However, little Claire seems to have music running through her veins as she starts strumming the strings and belting out those iconic early lines.
For the first 30 seconds or so, she seems quite concentrated on the ukulele, watching her fingers with care and ensuring that she’s playing the right notes, but as the song goes by, we see her confidence grow.
She looks happily at the camera and closes her eyes as the song continues, putting all of her emotion into the lyrics.
It’s quite extraordinary to see such a young child capturing the essence of this very emotional song, but Claire pulls it off without breaking a sweat, hitting the high notes with ease and successfully singing the whole song in time with her ukelele playing.
She’s got an amazing talent, and it’s no surprise that more than 35 million people have enjoyed the clip so far!
Ever since she started performing with her papa and uploading the clips to the Crosby family YouTube account, Claire has become an online sensation.
She’s got millions of subscribers and followers across social media and seems destined for even bigger and better things after catching the eye of Disney and making her movie debut in 2018.
