The focus and determination needed to do this, that's not what wayward students do!

The humble beach ball rose to popularity in the sixties when it began to appear in beach themed films. They vary in sizes but the multi-colored design proved to be extremely popular among beach goers that it’s become part of every family whenever there’s a plan to hit the sand.

They weigh virtually nothing. Even toddlers can play with them. Pump them up and toss them around, and even adults become kids again in the name of fun.

They have other uses.

All one needs is imagination and creativity. Check out these guys who put on a ballet show with beach balls as props. Really, when you allow a bunch of guys to come up with a performance, it’s always something… unexpected.

The act is done to “Total eclipse of the heart” by Bonnie Tyler.

It’s just the intro of the song but already the audience is chuckling to themselves. And the man with the beach ball turns around like the songs says to face his audience with a goofy grin on his young face.

Everyone wants to know what it’s like to be a lifeguard. It’s a job that requires you to stay by the water and most people think it’s cool. But no one ever asks the obvious. “How are the lifeguards doing?

In fact, the lyrics seem to speak of this lifeguard’s thoughts,

“(Turn around) every now and then I get a little bit tired
Of listening to the sound of my tears
(Turn around) every now and then I get a little bit nervous
That the best of all the years have gone by”

Poor guy. All his time spent watching out for others and no one ever checks up on him.

Well at least them lifeguards have each other.

Another guy comes out and joins his friend for a little beach ball dance, both men unashamed to show their emotions in front of all those people. They keep the beach ball close to their bodies, rotating around each other without dropping the ball.

If you watch closely, the dance moves seem to simulate a few swimming moves. It’s almost as if they were in the water. How they came up with the idea and dance for this performance is anyone’s guess.

Six others join them, all with their own beach balls.

That’s eight guys with seven balls.

Give them credit for their choreography. This must have taken them lots and lots of hours to perfect! Not to mention the effort it took to create those costumes. Get ready for a beach party with these guys!
