“Music is the literature of the heart; it commences where speech ends.” ― Alphonse de Lamartine
There are different types of music.
And surely we can find something that fits our taste. Consider yourself blessed if you have a talent for playing a musical instrument.
Many people dream of learning how to play the piano, guitar, drums, and even marimbas.
Unfortunately, not everyone can.
Deciding what instrument you want to play and receiving support from your parents and school is a dream come true for many.
Learning and discovering your potential is just the start of your dreams. Therefore, we need to practice and join competitions.
These events allow us to cultivate our talent and fair play.
Just like these boys from Hilton College.
Hilton College or most commonly known by many as Hilton is a private boarding school in South Africa.
Gould Arthur Lucas and Reverend William Orde Newman found the school in 1872.

Each student who enrolls in Hilton has their own access to a personal tutor. They also have a bespoke academic plan and strict rules to follow.
Sounds expensive? Well, it is the most expensive school in the entire country.
This year, its annual fee is R343, 155. That’s roughly $20,421.00
Now, we’re not focusing on the school itself, but on its talented students.
The Hilton Marimba band performed at the 2019 International Steel Pan & Marimba Festival.
With their marimbas, the boys started playing the song “Drive” by Black Coffee & David Guetta.
It was a hit.
Their timing was superb! The blending of the music was flawless, and they played each note so finely.
You’d think that because they were so many playing, someone would be offbeat, but no, they were all on point.
Concentration was a must.
So imagine the fascination of the audience as they saw each student dance to the rhythm of their music.
True talent
Playing as a team, maintaining the perfect pace while dancing – that’s pure talent!
If you have done a group performance, you would know how long and tiring each practice would be.
Aside from that, you need to make sure that you and your group mates work together in harmony. No one is ahead, and they leave no one behind.
In a performance, just one mistake can ruin the entire music piece.
This group perfected their performance and gave more.
The video earned 12.4 M views!
People loved the performance.
Some even shared what they think of the entire act. One YouTube comment said that it was so nice that each one enjoyed what they were doing.
Another person loved the student’s energy level and said that this is what music is all about.
Yet another was mesmerized by the entire performance and excellent choreography.
You can also follow the Miramba Boys on their YouTube channel for more amazing performances.
