Teachers come and go in life but sometimes you get one that becomes your biggest supporter and can motivate you to do amazing things.
Such is the case for a very talented teen and his English teacher.
These two performed a drum battle of such epic proportions it became YouTube gold.
“Reece the Musician” and his teacher held the battle outside his school in front of his fellow classmates and teachers.
The battle went back and forth with each drummer taking their solo to the next level.
A teacher who can share the stage with an up-and-coming talent is a true educator.
During the battle, Reece’s teacher challenges him during the competition but makes sure that he doesn’t upstage him either. He allows him to perform and to be recognized for being an amazing artist.
It’s very possible this teacher had someone else in his life that did the same for him. One thing is for sure, Reece will never forget this moment in his life when the world learned of his skills.
It was a friendly competition, but they were there to slay.
Reece the Musician is proud of his ‘humble beginnings.’
The teen shared a video on his YouTube channel – @reecethemusician of his very early days playing the drums.
The video shows Reece as a tiny toddler with a toddler-sized drum set.
Even at such a young age, you can see the spark in his little eyes as he hits those symbols. This little boy was born to rock.
Reece uploaded the video and put in the caption:
‘me and my english teacher had a drum battle…enjoy.’
Little did he know then just how much it would be enjoyed.
