The guitars they play in this video are vintage—and both are very expensive.

Looking closely, viewers can see that the tags are even still on them! However, these two own the instruments and play them as if they’ve been playing them forever. Billy has a voice that sounds out of time, and there’s an abundance of talent between these two.

Class, talent and craftsmanship never go out of style!

These two proved that there are still new musicians out there who can fill the shoes of the great ones we’ve lost.

Strings’s voice sounds much older than his years—like gritty, smooth silk. His guitar strings have a fitting, bluesy tone, and combined with his voice, it all has a therapeutic effect. In fact, everything about this video seems just right.

Needless to say, everything was perfectly calibrated to celebrate these two guitar wizards.

The talented duo made an excellent rendition of a song that was originally written in 1934.

May we remind you, once again, that many artists have covered this song before. Even so, these guys brought it to a whole new level. This is the kind of music that can take you to places you’ve never been before. This kind of guitar playing is the definition of style and skill. Everyone who loves blues can relate to this video, and it’s sure to be a treat for you to watch and listen to. The fact that they’re very young just adds to the magic as well. There is a great groove, a lot of emotion, and enough twists and turns to make this song their own—all without straying too far from the original material.

Billy Strings and Marcus King are on their way to stardom.

Rolling Stone named Billy Strings one of the Top Ten New Country Artists to Know in 2017. He has shared the stage with artists like David Grisman, Larry Keel, Sam Bush and many more. Marcus King is the lead singer and guitarist of The Marcus King Band from South Carolina.
