Harmonica is also known as a French harp or mouth organ, and it’s an instrument used in various musical genres such as blues, jazz, country and American folk music.
Though it’s a small instrument, it has a ton of influence and has been popular since the 1850s.
As it turns out, you can still see people playing harmonica on the street in the middle of the day!
Moses Concas, an Italian busker, amazed local crowds with his harmonica skills during the 2015 Ferrara Buskers Festival in Italy.
Concas is now a very popular busker who took harmonica to a whole new level and expanded the limits of what this instrument can do.
The young man is inventive and represents a new generation who takes a different, original approach to traditional instruments and gets some fine results. The performance was filmed on the streets of Italy during the Busker Festival, which is a very popular event held annually in the historic center of Ferrara.
The song he’s playing is “I Feel the Street,” and given the scene around him, it makes perfect sense.
You have to have a deep feeling of appreciation for art and entertainment to play your heart out like this in the middle of the street.
This man has a deep passion for music and it shows! It’s clear that Concas is the kind of artist who can stop people in their tracks.
As the video begins, it’s clear to see a crowd passing by.
As soon as Concas takes the instrument out and starts playing, people feel it and everyone stops to hear him play. It’s fascinating how such a small thing can capture the world’s attention! Concas definitely seems like a perfect person to invite to a campfire or cookout. His amazing musical skills and facial expressions say it all, and it really feels like he’s pouring his own story into the music he plays.
After listening to this performance, we’re guessing a lot of people will be surprised—we never actually knew harmonica could produce sounds like this!
Though we’ve all thought of harmonicas as cool instruments that sounds nice and are practical to have, we never imagined you could actually beatbox on it. As it turns out, Concas can! The man can create multiple sounds at a fast pace, all while beatboxing at the same time. It is incredible and deserves an award.
The riffing is amazing and at times he makes the harmonica sound like other instruments.
You can almost imagine hearing a violin, for example. It’s just a brilliant performance, the best one you’ll see when it comes to such a simple instrument. Though it’s simple, it’s still effective: that’s what we’ve concluded after watching this.
As it turns out, this popular Sardinian harmonica beatboxer also won on Italy’s Got Talent!
Moses said that his grandmother encouraged him to start playing harmonica because she was also a musician, writer, and painter.
We’re glad he took grandma’s advice—after all, look how well it turned out for him! After winning on Italy’s Got Talent, Concas became famous all over Italy as “The Miracle Harmonica.” Since then, Concas has released three albums in three years and loves to participate in festivals all over Europe. This video in particular about got seven million views, and we’re predicting a bright future for this talented musician.
