If you’ve been paying attention to Netflix lately, you’re probably familiar with the cast of Stranger Things.

For those who don’t know, Stranger Things is a sci-fi show starring a handful of lovable and exceptionally talented child actors. The show is a tribute to a number of pop cultural relics from the 80s and provides family-friendly entertainment. The show just finished its second season and all of its actors are more in the spotlight than they’ve ever been before.

As a result, we’re learning that all the Stranger Things kids have a lot of hidden talents.

One of these young men is Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson on the show.

In Stranger Things, Dustin is something of a goofy sidekick character who is sometimes passed over by girls his age. As it turns out, Matarazzo is quite different from the Dustin character he plays. He proved this recently at a New York Mets game where he was asked to sing the national anthem. As it turns out, Matarazzo has some serious pipes on him.

Though he is only 15 years old, Matarazzo’s performance seriously stunned those who were in attendance that day.

Still, this performance was no fluke: Matarazzo has plenty of experience singing.

He’s been singing since he was very young and often performs with his sister, Sabrina, at public events as well. Unbeknownst to many, Matarazzo also rocked the role of Gavroche in a recent showing of Les Miserables. For those who didn’t get to see him do this live, there’s YouTube footage of him performing songs from the show in the context of a karaoke bar.

Even in a laid-back venue like this one, Matarazzo knocks it out of the ballpark!

Still, Matarazzo isn’t the only one of the cast who has musical talent.

In fact, all of the Stranger Things kids recently assembled on The Late Late Show with James Corden. According to the show, Corden and the kids used to have a Motown cover band together before their fame! Ok, so that’s not actually true, it does make for a pretty funny sketch. And it all culminates in a pretty impressive performance of Motown covers, so we’re all for whatever backstory is necessary to get us there.
