Who says that you can’t have a great time just because you’re working? Certainly not the Indiana State troopers.

Last year, four troopers released a video of themselves lip-syncing to a song from “Grease” at the Indiana State Fair. It went viral, and it was a huge hit. People loved seeing the cops display their laidback and relaxed sides while on duty at the fair. It showed that the officers were friendly and loved to have fun.

Now, a year later, the Indiana State Fair just happened again. And guess what these state troopers did? They released another video of them lip-syncing to a different song. They knew it would be just as big of a hit as their previous video, and they weren’t wrong. Last year’s video got over 92,000 views, and this year’s is almost as popular, with almost 56,000 views as of October 3.

This year, the state troopers decided to switch it up.

Instead of doing a rendition of another “Grease” song, they decided to go for “The Boys are Back in Town” by Thin Lizzy instead. The video starts at the beginning of the song, and each of the troopers takes turns lip-syncing a different part. They are driving around in a golf cart patrolling the area, and two are in the front of the cart, and two are in the back. The ones in the back turn around during their parts to face the camera.

The troopers are Brent Lemberg and Jonathan Amburgey, who are from the Fort Wayne post, and Jonathan Cole and Dustin Rutledge, from the Peru post. The video was posted on Amburgey’s channel, but it’s clear that all four of them are in on the fun. It’s an entertaining video of them enjoying each other’s friendship while patrolling the fairgrounds.

While there has been a lot of tension between the police and private citizens lately, this video does an excellent job of humanizing the police.

It shows that they can have fun on the job just like anyone else. And it makes you think that if you would run into these guys, they would do whatever they could to make you smile. They were probably riding around the festival enjoying it like everyone else.

The public reaction seems to be overwhelmingly supportive.

There are a ton of comments under the video on YouTube, thanking the men for their service. A lot of people thought it was funny. Even more simply found the video entertaining. Either way, it’s clear that people want these officers to make more videos in the future. And who knows? Maybe they will come out with another one next year.

A ton of local news stories in the state of Indiana have come out about these state troopers.

The media loved to show just how nice and easygoing these men could be. They took it as an opportunity to share something that is lighthearted and fun instead of your everyday stressful news story. It allowed people to get a new perspective on state troopers and gain a more positive perception of the kind of public servants who truly are trying to do their best to help people and protect the public. No matter how you feel about police officers, you can’t blame these guys for having a good time.
