Easton Shane loves playing different genres of music.
He can do oldies, classic rock, blues, jazz, pop, and country.
He is also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while being part of the world-renowned One Voice Children’s Choir under the direction of Masa Fukuda.
His website states that,
“Easton won the best Artist Under 18 Category for the 2018 Utah Music Awards. In August of 2016, at just 13, Easton signed as the youngest Endorsed Artist for Heritage Guitars, Inc in the nation. Easton picked up his first guitar and started playing at the age of 4, now at 15 he is a 3X National Downbeat soloist award winner for the Blues/Pop/Rock Junior High Division and was recognized for his guitar playing abilities.”
But he’s not your typical rise to fame and deal with the glory kind of musician.
Easton is the son of a soldier. He put all his thoughts and emotions into this song and touches on how his dad and all the other soldiers are separated from family for long periods of time.
It’s a touching tribute. One you just need to hear.
“This Uniform’s For You” was written and dedicated to his dad. In the video’s description, Easton shares his story as to how and why he wrote this song.
You’ve got to feel for him and all the other kids with military parents.
“I was inspired to write this song so that I could share my experience as a young child and having my dad go away to war. I wanted my dad to know how proud I am that he serves in the military and how much I respect the Uniform he wears. I know firsthand that when a family member serves, their entire family serves and sacrifices with them.”
Easton shares.
Easton was four when his dad gave him a uniform that matched his father’s. Dad wore his uniform for his son and so Easton wore his to fill his dad’s shoes when he was away on deployment.
The lyrics are so touching. If you’re the crying type, better have tissue by your side.
In fact, Easton’s song touched lots of viewers.
“I love your song and hope whatever your dreams are with your music come true! My husband is in the military on his 4th deployment, and our oldest son is experiencing this for the 3rd time at 11 years old- He now has 3 little sisters and a little brother.”

“My God… This is such a beautiful reminder to everyone who has a parent in the military. I don’t, but several of my friends do and the struggles they go through are so real. You also have a spectacular voice. Thank you so much for this.”

His sacrifice is the reason why families can get together peacefully, and why people can go about living their lives.
All dad has to do is listen to his son’s music and he’ll be transported back home just like that.
