Just because you’re in a serious profession, doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun too.

People across the country have shown their “fun sides” in videos that have gone viral. Cops have lip synced their hearts out, firefighters have danced, and nurses have taken on “The Git Up Challenge.” It goes to show that no matter your profession, everyone deserves to let their hair down sometimes!

A video surfaced online featuring a group of Army soldiers.

While they may look very serious – their “actions” are leaving a smile on viewers’ faces.

Get ready to march along.

There are three rows of soldiers in uniform and they appear to be at their base. As soon as the video begins, they’ve got their feet moving. Not only that, but they start clapping as well!

Standing nearby is another man dressed in uniform. He’s leading them in a military cadence that calls for some pretty sweet moves. When he tells them to “snap both sides” they immediately follow orders. But it’s only the beginning…

The cadence caller shouts, “You’re dynamite, you’re fit to fight, now let me see you lean to the left…”

In response, all the soldiers lean to the left and there’s a loud “whoop!” They follow with their right, and then both sides. Yep, these soldiers still got it!

“I haven’t served but I come from a military family. I think that was funny! Live a little when you can.”

There are multiple benefits of using military cadences.

Even if you’re not in the military, you’re probably familiar with cadences from watching television or films. You know, service members marching or running in unison, yelling a song as they move?

The U.S. Army website provided the following information about cadences:

“Dating back to the Revolutionary War, the Army cadence has been an important tradition that has withstood the test of time. Used to motivate, inspire and keep the Soldiers’ steps in time, cadences foster a cohesive company while at the same time handing down the rich oral traditions of the U.S. Army.”

According to the website, cadences also help strengthen and control soldiers’ breathing while they’re on difficult runs and marches.

It’s an uplifting video that’s racked up more than 686K views.

Soldiers typically stay synchronized during cadences. These ones do too as they’re told to freeze to the left, then to the right. After that though – there’s a comical move that has them breaking free.

Laughter can be heard from a spectator as they do this…

It appears to be a good mood booster.

Several other soldiers walk by while the others are engaged in the song. Now, I’m not a mind reader, but perhaps they’re thinking… Hey, how do I get into that troop!

A YouTube user wrote:

“I think its pretty awesome that our soldiers can have fun as well…im sure they know when its time to get down to business”

Another commented:

“lmao. omg this is too cute. the matrix part had me busting up.”

Someone else passed along a compliment to the man leading the soldiers:
