This father-daughter duo is taking over the internet when people saw them sing the national anthem.
Paul Peterson is an Army Chaplain that lives in a house with six daughters! While many men wouldn’t envy the craziness that is sure to accompany that, Paul loves it. He knows that he is blessed to have a beautiful family of girls that range from 8-years-old to 16-years-old. He confidently claims that “they are done now”!
Paul was in the Army as a young man and then decided to go back later on.
With so many girls in the home, there is never a dull moment! Even more than that, the entire family is musical. Paul and his wife toured with their college while singing. The talent of the parents also trickled into the kids as the entire family is engaged with music!
Most of the day, you can hear someone in the house singing.
A point of pride for Paul is the fact that almost any time of the day you can hear someone singing in their home. He loves the fact that the family is so encouraging, loving, and embracing that people feel inspired to sing without abandon whenever they want.
They often record themselves singing in cool places.
Whether they sing in their garage at home, random stairwells, or at the kitchen table, they are always ready to belt it out! Paul and his daughter, Reagan, record their videos and post them online. With so much of their life revolving around family and music, what happened next was sure to be stunning.
Reagan was asked to sing at her school volleyball game.
When Reagan was asked, she knew that she didn’t want to do it alone. Asking if her dad could help, the duo was finally about to perform live for her school. Her dad rushed to the school and they started to sing.
Right when they start, the crowd immediately falls silent.
With gentle harmonies and a practiced sound, the two looked like professionals. They kept giving each other looks as they swept through the old lyrics. They even showed off a bit when they hit some incredible high notes together. Nearing the end of the song, the famous part that people love to belt was done expertly with a wonderful pitch.
