Why should children have all the fun? Sometimes a parent’s got to cut loose and have a little fun for themselves. So, Adam Ballard decided that he would teach his son to moonwalk.

Well, sort of…

The stay-at-home dad decided he would have a little fun with his baby Miles when his wife Kellie was out at work.

“Home alone with my son Miles, we find ‘creative’ ways to pass the time,” Adam wrote in the caption of his YouTube video.

Apparently, Adam was trying to get his son down for a nap and came up with a creative way to do so. He figured some “moonwalking” might do the trick.

Adam put Miles in a Baby Bjorn and flipped the camera on.

He then put on one of Michael Jackson’s classic songs to go along with his classic move. He then picks up his son’s feet and moves them backward as he walks in the same direction.

This gives his son the appearance of being able to moonwalk and it’s the most adorable things ever.

Now, I’m not sure if this is the best way to put a baby to bed but he sure looks like he’s having lots and lots of fun. And the internet has had lots of fun watching the video.

It’s gotten more than 2.3 million views on Adam’s YouTube alone.

“Whats most impressive about this video is 1:401:41 he wipes the baby’s drool on the bib and does not skip a beat while continuing the dance. now THAT’S a power dad!” One YouTube commenter wrote.

“Adam Ballard: father, husband, gamer, weight-lifter, podcaster, uber nerd, dancing child visionary, and all around hands down one of the nicest, most compassionate, and friendly dudes you’ll ever meet. Cheers to you, sir. Keep up the awesome!” said another.

Apparently, this genius video came about after Adam was sleep deprived.

“That particular day, Miles was being super fussy, and I was pretty sleep deprived,” he told USA Today. “We have two kids. I took the phone out and thought maybe I can do a dancing video because we had done some with his sister when she was younger. It was meant to be a practice run.”
