A pair of bearded guys from Indiana sure know how to make their tough jobs a little more fun.

Aaron Gray and Josh Arnett are buddies who work as contractors. While each of them puts a lot of muscle into their day, they also share something else in common… Aaron and Josh can both sing really well!

The duo is known as “The Singing Contractors” and they’ve become internet sensations because of their jobsite performances.

Inbetween using tools, the friends lift spirits with their incredible voices.

Over the years, Aaron and Josh have set down their hammers to sing favorites like “How Great Thou Art,” “Mary, Did You Know,” and “O Holy Night.” The world got another special treat when they took on “You Raise Me Up.”

Just another day on the job.

As with other Singing Contractors’ performances, the video below was filmed at a worksite, while the guys were taking a break from manual labor. Well, actually, they’re hard at work when it first begins – measuring, hammering, and using the electric saw.

Since it’s a sweltering summer day, the boys start out with some “hotter” jokes before announcing they’ll be singing “You Raise Me Up.” If you’ve heard the Singing Contractors in the past, then you probably know that it’s a breathtaking combo.

Their performance is stirring hearts across the internet.

Josh starts out with the well-known lyrics of “You Raise Me Up,” a song that was jointly created by Rolf Løvland and Brendan Graham. There are many musicians who’ve covered it since its release, from Josh Groban to Celtic Thunder. Get ready to fall in love with this a cappella version, which comes from two “average Joes” that are quite talented!

The guys go back and forth singing the lyrics. But it becomes even more chilling when they sing together.

Both Aaron and Josh (who met as teens) “come from a long line of hammer-holders and super-singers,” according to their website. This is apparent in their videos when they unleash their powerful voices.

A viewer commented:

Although it might not be the first setting that comes to mind, it’s actually the perfect stage for “You Raise Me Up.”

The sound of their voices is amplified in the big empty house, which only adds to the chill factor. Another person commented:

“Most perform in a concert hall..these guys have better acoustics in a bathroom or garage..and I’d rather watch them!”

Aaron and Josh never expected internet fame, but they’ve certainly become stars with their stunning gospel covers.

It started with one video going viral, but has grown to such much more. On their group’s Facebook page, it says:

“A pair of contractors singing to encourage others and help spread the good news of Christ! To God Be The Glory!’

In addition to their online videos, The Singing Contractors also released an album titled Working on a Building: Hymns and Gospel Classics, one called Building A Christmas To Remember, made television appearances, and more. How’s that for a couple of contractors?
