While most of us are better off doing our singing in the shower or behind the wheels of our cars, some people are blessed with beautiful voices that simply demand to be shared with the world.
Farrah Camu has one of those voices!
This talented young singer has gathered quite a following on YouTube and various social media networks after filming herself performing some stunning covers of famous songs from the past, particularly in the R&B genre.
Farrah has done covers of songs like Leo Bear by Sinead Harnett, Stick Wit U by The Pussycat Dolls, and Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You by Lauryn Hill, and for this particular video, Farrah decided to take on Tamia’s ‘Officially Missing You’.
It’s a beautiful song, released in 2003, with lyrics that talk about missing a former lover and wishing they could come back into your life.
Tamia performs the original song flawlessly every time, but Farrah does a wonderful cover here, accompanied by her boyfriend, Johnny, who plays the guitar throughout.
The couple’s dog can be spotted sitting on the sofa between them as Johnny plays and Farrah sings, cutely resting its head on Johnny’s knee towards the end of the song, but the real star of the show here is Farrah and her magical voice.
As soon as she opens her mouth and starts to sing, it’s enough to give anyone goosebumps!
Her voice is absolutely beautiful, so soft, melodious, and perfectly in keeping with the mood of the original track.
Johnny deserves credit for his smooth guitar playing too, but Farrah totally steals the spotlight with her incredible talent.
She’s been blessed with one of those wonderful singing voices that you could listen to for hours.
It’s so relaxing and soothing to hear her sing, and she nails every single line from the start of the clip to its end, putting her own unique spin on this beautiful song.
Even Tamia herself would be proud of such an awesome cover, and YouTube users seem to agree, with close to 300,000 people watching the video so far and giving it over 14,000 likes too.
Many users have also left comments on the clip, with some commenting on the cute dog, others noting how well Johnny and Farrah perform together, and most focusing purely and simply on the singer’s stunning voice.
