Shakira is probably one of the most famous women from Colombia.
Even if you don’t listen to her music, the singer has performed three times at the FIFA World Cup—you’ve just got to know her unique voice and awesome dance moves.
What if we told you that there is a girl who sounds exactly like her?
We’ve all heard of some of Shakira’s most popular songs in English, namely “Wherever, Whenever,” “Hips Don’t Lie,” and “Beautiful Liar,” for example.
The incredible artist is an amazing mixture of cultures, styles and musical influences, and her music makes you want to dance. Even so, Shakira’s first two albums weren’t big commercial successes—but she didn’t give up. She continued to perform, and entered the English-language market in 2001 with her fifth album Laundry Service.
Right after that, everything she touched turned to gold.
In the following years, Shakira has received three Grammy Awards and 12 Latin Grammy Awards. She even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has served as a coach on two seasons of the American singing competition television series The Voice.
Having sold more than 75 million records worldwide, the “Waka Waka” singer is one of the top-earning women in the music industry.

Yanina Daniela Chiesa is equally successful at her own terms, and she makes her own waves on the internet.
We’ve got to hand it to her—Yanina sounds like Shakira, that’s for sure.
It’s hard to imitate Shakira’s performance and delivery, but this lady comes really close! It’s not the first time Chiesa impressed her fans with her singing abilities. Before this one, she put out a video where she sang like 15 different singers including Adele, Ellie Goulding, Celine Dion, Katy Perry and Camila Cabello. It’s almost incredible—you have to be enthusiastic whenever someone extremely talented appears on the scene.
Yanina is from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and she’s got almost a million subscribers on her YouTube channel.
With an Instagram page boasting 92,300 followers, this girl is on her way to making a major impact!
The video’s got a pretty simple concept—Yanina is behind the mic and in the upper right corner of the screen is a small video of a song she’s singing, with the title written underneath.
By doing that, fans are never lost—they always know what song she’s performing!
Chiesa is good at singing both in English and in Spanish.
Her performance is excellent, and every time she looks at the camera, she gives off overwhelmingly confident energy. After seeing this, we’re thinking that Shakira could calmly go on a vacation with her family—this girl could jump in with just a moment’s notice!
Since the clip was posted, it has earned more than half a million YouTube views.
In 2018, Yanina found out that she’ll be singing at Shakira’s show in Argentina, Buenos Aires.
Because she was super excited, she decided to make the special video in honor of such a great opportunity. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for her and hope that she makes a blast with that amazing voice!
