Do you think Simone Biles is the greatest gymnast of all time? The debate is pretty strong in her favor.

She has certainly made a name for herself over the last five years, especially after winning gold in 2016 at the Summer Olympics in Rio.

Once again, Simone is making headlines for her gymnastic routines and all of her talent.

At just 21 years old, Simone Biles is a three-time world all-around champion, two-time world balance beam champion, three-time world floor champion, five-time United States national all-around champion, and was a member of the gold-medal-winning American teams at the 2014 and 2015 World Artistic Gymnasts Championships. She has four Olympic medals; three gold and one bronze.

After the success she had in Rio, Simone decided to take 2017 off and enjoy a little peace and quiet. A year off seems to have treated her well. She began training again in 2018 and she’s already dominating the competition.

To start her return, she first competed at the U.S. Classic in July 2018. Her next stop was the National Championships.

While competing at the National Championships in August 2018, Simone placed first in every single event she participated in. She is the first woman to do this since Dominique Dawes in 1994.

Even with such a successful bought at the National Championships, Simone was still modest about her success. When speaking with NBC Sports, she said:

“Confidence-wise and consistency, I still think we have a ways to go to get back up to where I was in Rio, but gymnastics-wise, [better than in 2016],” Biles said. “I think I’m finally starting to get it and understand it. I’ve understood gymnastics for a while now, but I think it’s really sinking in.”

Now, Simone is well on her way to the 2020 Olympics. She was added the Olympic team in March 2018. She’s prepping for her next competition.

In October, Simone attended the Worlds Team Selection Camp and was later added to the 2018 World Championships team. At camp, Simone took home first place in all-around, vault, and floor, second place in the uneven bars, and fourth in the balance beam (because her hands touched the mat on her dismount).
