If you don’t know who Simone Biles is, you clearly did not go anywhere near a TV in 2016. Or the years since then!

Simone Biles is currently the most decorated American gymnast and she is only 21 years old. She has a combined nineteen Olympic and World Championship medals. She is the three-time world all-around champion. That is a title she earned back to back, from the years 2013 to 2015.

In the summer of 2016, there wasn’t a headline that wasn’t written about Simone Biles, thanks to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She was a member of the gold-medal winning Final Five.

Because of all of her success in the early years of her career and at such a young age, she has already been called the greatest gymnast of all time. And she has only just gotten started!

After the Final Five dominated the 2016 Summer Olympics and Simone personally won three gold medals and one bronze, she understandably decided to take some time off.

Simone announced she would take 2017 to rest and do things that people her own age do and she would get back into training in early 2018. It looks like that rest did Simone very well!
