The Clay County’s Sheriff Department makes sure to still have fun while protecting their county. These deputies accepted The Git Up Challenge and proved they have some dangerous dance moves.
The sheriff’s deputies show their community that sometimes the best way to come together is through dance.
Three deputies came together to accept the dance challenge that’s set to the song “The Git Up” by Blanco Brown. The lyrics throughout the song instruct everyone on the dance moves.
The lyrics include:
“Take it to the left now and dip with it Gon’ throw down, take a sip with it Now lean back put your hips in it (whoo, whoo, whoo) let’s have some fun.”
Pretty straightforward, right?
The Git Up Challenge has gone viral and thousands of people have uploaded their contributions to the challenge. It didn’t take long for police, fire, and sheriff departments to get in on the fun.
Clay County Sheriff’s Office put a lot of time and flair into their dance video before they released it to the amusement of their citizens.
Three Clay County deputies took off their sheriff hats and put on their cowboy hats.
These three deputies created this video to have fun and they brought props too!
Each deputy has a water bottle so when the lyrics state to “take a sip with it,” they have something to take a sip out of.
The sheriff’s office picked the best deputies for this duty because these deputies have the moves!
Each deputy gets a moment in the spotlight to highlight their own dances moves.
They are here to not only “Git Up” but also get down.
Their challenge is even better because each deputy brought their official car to be their background.
After giving the challenge all their energy and fun, these three gentlemen end their dance challenge with great manners by tipping their caps to the cameras.
Now, it’s back to work for these sheriffs, right after they stop dancing they all head back to their vehicles.
The Clay County’s Sheriff Office’s contribution to The Git Up challenge was happily received by the community. Multiple local news stations reported and shared the video with the public.
It is always fun to know that your local authorities know how to have fun and not be serious all the time.
The sheriff’s office uploaded their Git Up Challenge to their official YouTube page and was received well by thousands. Some have commented:
“Hey I live in Clay County…Not only do they know how to “Git Up”, they know how to keep the “Crime Down,” so glad to see that they are enjoying at the same time as serving gotta love our protection team…”
