Ron Sharpe is an accomplished actor who made history as the first to portray both male leads, Marius and Jean Valjean, in the Broadway production of “Les Misérables.” He has been part of original Broadway productions like “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” “The Civil War,” and Disney’s “King David.”

Ron’s television appearances include shows like “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and the “Tony Awards.” He reprised his role as Jean Valjean in the 25th-anniversary production of “Les Misérables” and was featured in the filmed production of “Sweeney Todd” at Live at Lincoln Center, which won a Creative Arts Emmy Award.

While Barbra Russell-Sharpe is an accomplished performer known for her role as Cosette in Broadway’s “Les Misérables.” She has also appeared in popular shows like “The Fantastiks” and “Oklahoma” across the United States and internationally.

Barbra has performed at prestigious venues including the National Concert Hall in Dublin and for dignitaries like the President and Prime Minister of Singapore. Additionally, she has showcased her talent as a voice-over artist in TV and radio commercials. Barbra and her husband Ron have produced two Broadway shows and are currently working on a feature film adaptation of “A Tale of Two Cities.”

According to the family’s website, “Broadway performers and producers Ron and Barbara Sharpe first met onstage in the original Broadway production of Les Miserables, where they played the romantic lead roles of Marius and Cosette. After being married onstage over 1000 times, they decided to get married and start a family for real!”

They were blessed with four equally-talented children, Samantha, Logan, and twin brothers Connor and Aidan.

And just days ago, the entire family of singers decided to audition on the 18th season of the prestigious reality talent search, “America’s Got Talent.”

When asked by one of the judges, international superstar, Sofia Vergara, about the reason why the family decided to audition, Barbara said, “We are very very lucky to be here. We’ve been wanting to be here for years and we’ve finally got our chance.”

While Ron shared that their first kiss as a couple on stage during a show before they actually tied the knot and the rest like they always say, is history. Their children became so interested in singing and performing, thus making them a family of great singers.

The Sharpe family didn’t disappoint as they gave the song a splendid version. Singing as a powerhouse family, each family member showcased their singing prowess by blending beautifully. From the head tone, baritone, bass, and melody, the Sharpe family is definitely a family that should be taken seriously by the other contestants of the talent show.

The family was loved by the entire theatre as they showered the Sharpe family with loud cheers and rounds of applause. All four judges also gave them nothing but praise not only as a group but also individually.

The Sharpe family ended up getting four yeses from the judges, which means they have a chance to advance to the live shows.
