The high school years are an impressionable time in a young person’s life.
You find yourself doing all sorts of wacky stuff just to get a good laugh. It used to be you made a joke of yourself, people laughed and remembered for some time, then it eventually went away. For kids these days, the hilarious moments are usually caught on video, thus being burnt into the internet for all time.
These high school boys will crack you up with their shirtless Mean Girls dance!
Four male students from Mountain View High School went viral for their hysterical dance, complete with Santa hats and all.
Most of us have seen the award-winning movie Mean Girls, but you may not remember the classy Christmas dance scene that the four main characters did. In the scene from the 2004 film, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried do a dance wearing slightly risque Santa outfits.
Fast forward nine years to 2013, and these teenage boys from Mountain View High School are taking the stage shirtless to do a copy-cat dance of the scene from the classic movie.
In the beginning, the guys do the same hilarious poses that the four actresses in the movie.
These kids clearly practiced, mimicking every move from the comical scene and doing a hilarious job in the process. The dancer all the way to the left even imitates the part where Chabert’s character walks to the front of the stage to greet her boyfriend.
The crowd goes crazy as the boys go through the dance, with high school girls screaming bloody murder every time the young men swing their hips around!
Rather than subtly kicking the CD player as they do in the movie, one of the guys pushes his friend sending him flying through the air to stop the music.
In Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan saves the day by getting the crowd to sing after the CD player malfunctions, which the high school boys reenact perfectly while putting their own little twist on it.
Once the music stops, one of the boys picks up the song where it left off, and the whole audience joins in on the singing.
For the last 30 seconds of the performance, the crowd sings “Jingle Bell Rock” while the boys finish off the dance.
These kids will have you rolling with laughter from start to finish, and they never break character the entire time. I’m sure they had no clue this video would blow up the way that it has, but you never know in this day and age—especially when it’s this funny!
People on the internet couldn’t get enough of the teenagers’ clumsy imitation dance, and it’s easy to see why.
The video of them dancing has been viewed over 12 million times, with 438,000 that liked the video.
Over 11,000 viewers also left comments for the dancers, many giving them credit for putting themselves out there to make other people laugh.
Funny content can be a gateway through the tough times, for there is no such thing as too much laughter. Thanks to sarcastic kids like the young men in this video, we can all let off a little tension and share a laugh!
