Every time you hear a song like that, tears appear on their own. Then again, some artists make that emotional punch even greater with their talent—and Samantha Harvey is one of those impactful artists.

Yes, that proves anything’s possible as long as you work hard enough!

The British pop singer and songwriter is currently signed to Virgin EMI Records in the UK and Capitol Records in the U.S, though it wasn’t always that way. It’s not like she’s had 2.2 million subscribers to her YouTube channel forever—that’s was an achievement she worked on patiently for a long time.

Harvey began building that following by posting covers of songs by some of the most popular artists like Adele, Selena Gomez, Birdy, Céline Dion and Ed Sheeran.

Then the first original single, “Wonderland,” appeared in September 2016. In November of the same year, Samantha appeared on Good Morning Britain and sang the weather report.

Ed Sheeran’s song “Supermarket Flowers” comes from his 2017 third studio album.

The track is about his late grandmother, and it was released as a promotional single following Sheeran’s performance at the 2018 Brit Awards. We can all relate to that situation, and there s not a single person who hasn’t lost someone very close. It can be hard, and Ed said that his coping mechanism was to get in the studio and pick up his guitar. That’s how the lovely song was done.

When Samantha decided to cover the song, she went through a similar situation.

She lost her grandad, and you can hear her purest emotions in the video. You can see that Harvey’s fighting back the tears, and it’s all understandable. It’s a hard song, but it draws you in. When her voice cracks on the last word “home,” anyone watching will feel all the emotions behind the screen. That’s the greatest thing about the music—it opens up the gate to another person’s heart.

In all, it’s clear she has an angelic voice.

Harvey explains that a lot of her fans on Snapchat requested the cover so she sat down and decided to sing it.

Technically, she’s amazing. The song suits her beautiful voice perfectly, she effortlessly hits higher and lower notes and Sheeran would be proud of her. We checked out the comments section, and we can only say that people reacted to the video in the form of a big group hug.

Everyone wrote about losing someone special, and it reminded us of how precious and fragile life is.

This young lady sings with her eyes closed. She’s probably thinking of all those memories she has with her late grandad, and we love how she doesn’t shy away from sharing her feelings with the audience.

Since it was posted, it has earned six million YouTube views in three years.

Her fans responded so enthusiastically!

In the end, Samantha almost begins to cry and she comments that she’s “such a mess.” Even so, she simply felt every word of the song, the same as we did. We wish her all the best with plans and projects and we can’t wait for her album!
