Still, why not try to listen to this mellow, piano version of the song?

Perhaps you may love to hear a fresher version of it. Here’s Alexandra Kuznetsova, also known on the internet as Gamazda, a pianist who does covers of famous pop and rock songs. She uploaded a cover of her performance on YouTube, garnering an impressive eight million views.

She started it with a light tune from the xylophone, playing the recognizable intro of the song.

As her other hand was busy on the xylophone, her opposite hand was on the keys, providing the rich bass back up to complement the lighter sound.

It was such a wonderful merge of sounds—though it’s a little unexpected, it’s definitely soothing.

Gamazda was sitting at the edge of her chair, but she wasn’t bothered at her own position. Instead, she was already lost in her own world, playing music on two different instruments.

The moment Gamazda threw away her xylophone stick, she just transformed into a completely different musician.

The soft, mellow sound that she was playing becomes a much more upbeat rhythm.

Just when she enters the chorus passage, she does a dramatic pause, giving herself an opportunity to present an epic drop.

The tune was a banger—it’s hard to imagine that she found a way to bring this kind of energy to a piano cover! The way she plays is so masterful. She performs with great dexterity, hitting the notes accurately with her quick and nimble fingers.

She even leaves you with an ending you would least expect.

She gave it a great buildup, with a masterful performance of the middle part—but be prepared for what is about to come.

Notice that she threw away the xylophone stick from earlier, and she had a weird giraffe figure just sticking out on her belt.

If you thought the giraffe was irrelevant, wait until she reaches her outro.

As usual, she rocked her piano—but she suddenly reaches to her waist for the giraffe to ring a couple of notes for the perfect finish. Finally, she gently places the giraffe on the piano as she exits the room.

As this performance shows, transforming classic rock into a perfect piano pieces is her specialty.

She has been a very popular pianist because of her awesome arranging skills.

Gamazda is quite exceptional at what she does—she has even transformed other rock classics like AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,
or even Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters.”

Her art is really something to look forward to—be sure to show her some support on her other videos as well!
