March 16th, 2020

Riding anything on wheels is extremely difficult.

It takes balance and determination if you want to get good. Still, some people are just naturals—from the second they start practicing they’re able to excel at their craft. This young girl from Russia mesmerizes the crowd with her amazing routine on rollerblades, winning first place and quickly going viral.

Sofia Bogdanova is a young competitive rollerblader, who stunned the crowd at the Shanghai Slalom Open back in 2017.

At the beginning of the video, you can see Bogdanova take her position before immediately jumping into a complex slalom routine on her rollerblades. Right from the get-go, she balances on her front wheels, spinning her way in and out of the cones.

The action-packed routine is like nothing I’ve ever seen—she spins repeatedly while maneuvering through the course with ease.

She goes back and forth through the cones in an incredible display of balance.

Bogdanova switches feet while hopping and twisting both backward and forward through the course. She can’t break focus for even a second or the whole show could be ruined.

The video was taken back in 2017, and it’s no surprise that the young competitor won this competition. She’s completely committed to her sport, never wavering as she takes it to another level!

At 1:20 into the video, Bogdanova balances on the front of one rollerblade while lowering her whole body until she’s barely hovering above the ground.

This whole performance is extraordinary!

Bogdanova showcases her top-notch skills by riding through the cones on only one wheel and just inches above the ground. After that, she rapidly spins on both front wheels before gliding through the course while switching her stance constantly.

Throughout the whole performance, Bogdanova continues to leave the crowd in awe with her difficult moves. How she doesn’t get dizzy and fall over is beyond me!

Toward the end of her routine, she picks it up a notch and manages to pull off some tricks that seem impossible.

Bogdanova hops and spins her whole body while simultaneously weaving in and out of the cones. Years of practice have gotten her to this moment and she manages to seize it at every turn.

This is the ultimate example of concentration and dedication, and she’s able to do things that even the most experienced adult competitors can’t master.

For the grand finale, Bogdanova does something spectacular and impressive at every level.

Twisting both of her feet until they’re facing opposite ways, the talented girl manages to weave in and out of the cones balancing on both toes in a contorted position. If there was any question of whether she should win, this last move definitely sealed the deal.
