Andrew Wilcox had no idea that his roof dance would have him dancing across the internet and into the homes of people. He considers himself an adopted Mexican. Andrew and a friend were doing some repairs on a roof when Enrique Iglesias’ “Bailando” came on.
It was automatic for Wilcox. Those Latin inspired hips started shaking. And he still had his belt on. What’s even more unbelievable is the fact that he’s on an uneven roof.
Those hips don’t lie.
On his YouTube channel, Andrew describes himself as such, “I make goofy videos. And most of them end up being a dance of some sort. I am not a professional dancer or videographer, I’ve never taken any classes, I just do with what I have!”
His roof buddy doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, the guy ignored Andrew for the most part as he got his sexy on. That’s the thing with Latin dance and music. It has to be sexy. Does Wilcox pass?
Andrew drops the belt and launches into a goofy dance, running around the roof and executing funny dance moves among a few samba steps here and there. Give him an A for creativity!
Really, it’s his incredible balance on that sloping roof line that stuns you. Not everyone would have the guts to get up on the roof. But Andrew here is having the time of his life. And that’s without a few shots of Tequila!
Wilcox is a hit with nearly 3.6 million views!
The man gets into the swing of things, his hips throwing his manly butt around before he does a handstand and a spin. His dancing was so contagious, his colleague got in on the dancing too!
The dude even did a front flip. What crazy guy does a front flip on a sloping roof?
He’s got a lot of sauce on that dip!
Andrew himself admits to his shenanigans saying,
” It’s only natural that when the radio plays those Latino tunes my hips start to sway. I love the music. I love the culture. I love the dance.”
Certainly a great way to keep the job interesting.
Even his viewers love it!
“You really are a good dancer. I’d love to see some professional dancing or a routine you did. I love to watch people with gifts like yours with dancing.”
Sounds like a fan, Andrew!
Another guy said,
“I am a roofing contractor who loves Latin music and makes my crew dance spontaneously. I think you might be my long lost brother.”
Pretty sure a lot of people would love to see more of those rooftop dances.
Andrew has become a sort of celebrity now. His dancing got the attention of other sites and people have been clamoring to see more of Wilcox and his many moves. He’s organized dances for camps, and has made money out of his viral career. It’s helped him finish school!
And all he wanted was to have a bit of fun on the job. He had it, he flaunted it, and look at the guy now! That’s not to say we should all get up on the roof and dance, no. It just shows that having a bit of fun can make people smile.
Andrew must be really fun during parties! Check him out below!
