Some people might consider high school love as something that fades away over time because you feel it when you are still so young.
However, there are people who would surely disagree saying that their high school love turned out to be their true love.
One of these couples is actor, director, and producer extraordinaire Ron Howard and his wife.

He has been in the industry for decades, and his achievements have made him an inspiration to a lot of aspirants who want to make it big in Hollywood.
Ron Howard may be a man with many awards and wins, but one of his most amazing victories is meeting the woman who he would spend the rest of his life with.
He was only in 11th grade back then.

At the age of 16, Ron met the woman of his dreams and she was also an 11th grader just like him.
Cheryl Howard has been behind Ron, supporting him in all his endeavors for the past 47 years.
The couple had an instant connection the moment they set eyes on each other.

Ron and Cheryl were very young, but it did not mean that what they felt was not true.
Their first meeting in high school was a moment that they both will never forget.
Their connection was instant and they knew it.
They immediately got to know each other better and after some time of getting acquainted, they went out on a date in 1970.

After 47 years after their very first date, Ron relived the moment thru a post on Instagram.
He shared a photo of him and Cheryl hugging each other sweetly and behind them is a very beautiful view.
It is evident in their happy faces that they are very much in love with each other, even after almost five decades of being together.

In fact, the couple still goes out on dates.
Having four children will not stop them from having fun together and keeping their love alive thru the moments they share with each other.
