Country music may not be for everyone, but that certainly won’t stop it from gaining fans around the world. In fact, across the globe many various cultures have embraced American country swagger not only as a music genre, but the dance and clothing styles too. In fact, it seems anywhere you can find cowboys, you can find country music.
Even as far afield as Sao Paolo Brazil!
In this video, three talented dancers do what they do best on a Brazilian ranch. And if you have even an ounce of scepticism about how authentic heir country style is…you just wait till you see them move.
The troupe is led by dancer, choreographer and real-life cowgirl of Brazil, Thys Monaro.
She posts videos on being a cowgirl, and country dances, including (but certainly not limited to) dance tutorials, dance routines, and what it means to be a country girl.

With Drama Lendário on the left and Warlei Oliveiraon the right, it’s a veritable hoedown for the century, and I ain’t just talking about no simple line dance neither! These dancers kick their heals so high, it would make Clint Eastwood Blush!
The song they’re singing- Redneck Woman is pretty appropriate too!
Originally performed by Gretchen Wilson, this instant country classic revels in the joys of being a true country gal. That’s something that Thays knows a lot about! It even hit the number one spot on the US Hot Country Songs (Billboard) chart in 2004.

The version of the song they are dancing to is a cover by Jill Johnson and it’s every bit as country!
Just as these Brazilian boot-stompers are every bit as country as their American counterparts. Watching the way they embody the typical country swagger live would make you wonder if you’re not actually in Dallas Texas!
Thays’ choreography is so fun to watch.
With enough precision of timing from the dancers, yet a cool, effortless style from all three of these stellar performers, it just makes you want to get a cowboy hat and get-on-up too! Of course, they’re all dressed for the occasion as well, with their matching cowboy hats, jeans, and checked shirts for the boys, and a vest for Thys, they look the part!
And along with a few video editing tweaks, the video is an all-round dance extravaganza!
Filmed on location at a ranch-style restaurant and bar with plenty of open space and a real emphasis on the country look and feel, it creates the perfect backdrop for this fantastic country kicker!
Every one of these dancers is incredibly talented, and Thys’ choreography allows them to shine.
So I guess country music may be more of an international phenomenon than one might think. Even where the main language is Portuguese, enthusiasts can tune in, and get on down with something that resonates with them, from so many miles away.
