We’ve all sat on YouTube and watched them for hours on end… Golden Buzzer videos!
There is just something about watching someone who is seriously talented perform and “wow” the judges!
On America’s Got Talent, a Golden Buzzer is about as high a compliment as is possible.
America’s Got Talent has been playing now since 2006. It doesn’t feel like it, but it’s been 15 years!
You would think that they would exhaust all of the potential talented people in the country, but somehow, they keep coming!
The Golden Buzzer wasn’t always around, but since its inception, people have loved it.
Though the golden buzzer was originally introduced in season 9 to break any ties that emerged (in other words, the act would be put through no matter how the other judges voted), it eventually became a way to award the top acts and allow them to skip the judge cuts portion of the competition. – Good Housekeeping
It’s a Golden Buzzer performance that we get to see today and it’s truly awesome.
Lea Kyle is a 25-year-old beautician.
She absolutely adores fashion and from the pre-clips we see, she’s talented.
The first time she was ever on stage was when she went on with her boyfriend who is a sleight of hand performer. After that moment, she knew she loved performing.
Combining her two loves, performing and fashion, she decided to try to head to the show.
She was SO nervous and you truly want to see her succeed in the best way.
As she meets the judges, they talk to her and you can see she’s a bit nervous. They were totally encouraging and excited to see how she performed.
Posing up and starting the music, you don’t really know what’s about to happen.
Walking over to a black curtain, she pulls it across her body.
It’s a bit confusing until you realize that when she drops the curtain, she’s wearing a brand new outfit!
Moving across to her different props, Lea switches costumes like a chameleon changing colors!
It’s magical because your mind can’t even comprehend HOW she is changing so fast – it shouldn’t be possible! Lea doesn’t just change her clothes either, she owns the stage like she’s been doing it all her life.
There have been lots of people on this show but watching her change between dresses while smiling is truly amazing.
If fashion designers could do magic, it would look like this. Lots of the performers that come on the show can be a bit cheesy, but this was the furthest from that. The judges were clearly in awe as they watched.
Howie was the first to talk and he said it well.
The judges were amazed and were pouring out their praise on the girl who was, just a few moments ago, terrified to perform in front of them.
Finally, it was Heidi Klum turn to talk and she did something amazing – she hit the button!
Heidi hit the Golden Buzzer and Lea IMMEDIATELY broke into tears!
With emotions flying (as well as golden glitter), Heidi and Lea hugged on stage. We can’t wait to see all that Lea has in store!
