Not everyone agrees on whether or not monarchy should continue to have power in a country. But one thing that’s hard to argue is Queen Elizabeth II’s keen fashion sense.

The Queen of England has a big role to fill.

As Head of State and Head of the Commonwealth, her majesty opens new sessions of Parliament, grants Royal Assent to legislation, approves orders and proclamations through Privy Council, has the right to appoint the Prime Minister, and acts as Sovereign and Defender of the Faith and Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

And she’s been doing it longer than anyone else in the British Monarchy. At 96 years of age, Queen Elizabeth II spent 70 years sitting on the throne and was the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.

Despite all those big responsibilities of her job, she is always looking chic. And the Queen is not afraid to look bold. Over the years, she has proven to serve with some seriously stunning looks.

She couldn’t have looked more beautiful and regal on the day of her coronation in 1953 in a white sweetheart neckline gown covered in crystals

The gown, designed by Normal Hartnell will be on display during the Queen’s Jubilee celebration.

It’s also kind of hard not to look incredible when you’re wearing a cape and The Crown, but Queen Elizabeth II looked breathtakingly gorgeous. Her Majesty ascended to the throne at the age of 27 after the death of her father King George VI.

Below you’ll see the Queen in a super funky floral cap and chartreuse coat on June 2, 1972, during her visit to the Isle of Man where she is known as “Lord of Mann.”

Her Majesty continued to keep it bold and classy over the years.

Here she is looking impeccable in lime green.

The color really popped from the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.

And the Queen always looks pretty in pink. She rocks that shade when she wears it in light pink or hot pink, rose.

And all other shades in between.

Below you’ll see her in a bright pink and floral ensemble in 2016 while she waved to crowds during the Patron’s Lunch as a part of her 90th birthday celebration.

When it comes to hats, the Queen always has the best of them.

She is donning an asymmetrical stunner in this photo of her visit with the Amir, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during his State Visit to the UK in 2012.

The Queen even manages to look cool when she’s going casual.

This red and purple dress would be daring for some, but not Her Majesty.

She was photographed in this dress when she received the Order of St. John’s first-ever Service Medal in Gold. The Queen is the Sovereign Head of the Most Venerable Order of the HOspital of St. John of Jerusalem.

Basically, the Queen has always looked good and she will always look good. I mean most of us would probably look good if we had the finances and style guidance that she does, but you have to give her credit for her brave fashion choices and willingness to rock all these amazing looks while still keeping up with her Queenly duties. She has a lot more important things on her mind than fashion but she still manages to give it the proper attention and we are here for it.
