Earlier this year during strict lockdown measures, Sandy took to the streets (or to his balcony, rather) to share his passion for music with the surrounding neighborhood.

Performing live, he soothed the uncertainty of the pandemic with a live cover of Corona’s ’90s classic dance hit “Rhythm of the Night.”

As the track sings out the familiar dancy lyrics “this is the rhythm of the night,” Sandy points down the street to other balcony-goers with a charismatic smile. He has gained a following from the surrounding neighbors, who seemingly delight in his super-smooth performance.

As the track continues, he improvises a sultry swell of saxophone notes on top of the beat.

It’s apparent from this video that despite the looming threat of quarantine and sickness, humanity prevails and shines in the brightest ways!

Sandy Sax has been on top of his game for a while, and has earned a lot of attention and praise for his command of the instrument.

According to his YouTube page:

“Graduated from Conservatoire of Lyon, Sandy teaches and plays in bands until he dove head first, in 2014, into the world of live performance alongside many DJs. With more than 700 international dates on the calendar and many famous electro DJs’s remixes, Sandy has created his own style through his career.”

He certainly knows how to bring the entertainment! In fact, this wasn’t his only balcony performance during the quarantine.

He also uploaded a video of him performing “Insomnia” by Faithless from high above the streets, a tribute to the Frontline COVID-19 Healthcare workers.

Additionally, he provided live entertainment via YouTube for his fans—his lockdown stream is 30 minutes of amazing sax solos to smooth dance hits.

His about page continues:

“His hectic life as an artist continues with regular live performances in internationally renowned clubs and privates events. His determination to get the best out of every single performance and production remains the same. Rich with an energetic, melodic play and a great sense of detail, Sandy is definitely part of the new generation of performers.”

A new generation indeed! It’s hard not to instantly fall in love with Sandy’s infectious personality and passion. And so long as there are entertainers and big hearts like him in the world, whatever darkness may come will not prevail.
