Jonathan and Drew Scott are not “righteous”, but they are owning this rendition of a beloved classic.
The guys are called the Property Brothers, the very same ones from that Canadian reality television series.
Drew, a real estate expert, scouts neglected houses then negotiates their purchases.
Jonathan is a licensed contractor who is in charge of renovating the houses.
The Property Brothers set out to help families find, buy, and transform houses that need work into dream homes all while working with a strict timeline and budget.
It’s a show that has aired in over 150 countries.
But who knew that the guys could sing?
“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin'” is a song written by Phil Spector, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.
It was first recorded in 1964 by the American vocal duo the Righteous Brothers, hence the play by the brothers here.
This is the same song in Top Gun where Tom Cruise (Maverick) serenades a surprised Kelly McGillis (Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood) at the bar.
A scene many young men enjoy for good reason.
So now Jonathan and Scott take their turn on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The music video is done in black and white, with the brothers wearing tuxedos as they sing sitting on stools and holding microphones.
Bringing back that loving feeling from the sixties!
