Drew Scott has stunned fans yet again with his amazing musical side.
We may know him as half of the HGTV hit Property Brothers which features twin brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott as they search for neglected houses, negotiating for their prices and giving the said properties new faces.
His name is connected with handling fixer-uppers and turning them into amazing homes. But one thing that fans probably doesn’t know about Drew Scott is that he is a very talented singer as well!
The 42-year-old reality TV star’s recent acoustic act on Instagram definitely proved that he’s not only a property expert, but a romantic crooner, too. He’s serenading everyone with his very own rendition of Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me”, melting hearts online as he strung his guitar and sang to the lovely music.
His version of the iconic song resonated to fans online and even earned words of praises from his fellow home-renovators!
Cheryl Hickey from Family Home Overhaul wrote, “So fantastic” while Scott McGillivray of Income Property posted “Bro!!! So great.”
He sang online not just to show off his talent in music, though.
He wanted to send a message to the world through his song. In his post, he emphasized that we all need somebody to lean on, echoing the exact lyrics of the song he chose to sing.
“We definitely all need somebody to lean on. I’m thankful for family, community and for music that gives us the words to reflect on how connected we all are. Lift each other up…and allow yourself to be lifted.”
Drew went on to pay tribute to his music teacher, Rick Russo, and to his beloved father. It was a simple yet emotional rendition that definitely made an impact to the lives of his viewers and his fans.
But, this is not the first time he showed his musical side.
Back in 2018, the Property Brothers star sang online to honor his wife Linda Phan. He recorded an original love song written by him, a month after he did the actual surprise number for his wife in the morning of their wedding day in May.
A lot of fans were moved by his heartfelt song, awed by the amount of love that was poured in the composition’s lyrics. They were absolutely delighted when the track was finally released, including a music video where photos of the couple’s Italian wedding were featured.
Drew’s musical career is not actually just a social media post or two showing him as he played music and singing along to it. He is, in fact, a member of a pop-country duo and his partner? No other than his twin brother, Jonathan!
Drew Scott is certainly a man of talent, but more importantly, he’s a man that uses his voice and influence to inspire people.
