If you’ve ever been to a live concert, then you know how powerful the energy tends to be. With star-studded performances and incredible music, it can be a timeless musical event. But imagine how much more amazing it would be if you got to join the show?
Well two officers were invited to join superstar Kelly Clarkson on stage in the middle of one of her concerts.
It all began during Clarkson’s show in Kansas City, Missouri
The video takes place about halfway through the show when Kelly Clarkson welcomes two officers on the stage. The gentlemen join her in front of an energetic and cheering crowd and can only sit back and bask in the strong energy radiating from the room.
The officers are given microphones and are moved near the front of the stage while Clarkson backs off to allow her guests to become the stars of the show. A brief moment passes as the crowd wonders what will happen next.
Then “Stand by Me” plays and the crowd goes wild
Officers Jackson and Pagel waste no time breaking into song. Jackson is clearly made for the stage as he croons and bounces to the famous song to a perfect pitch.
Just look at his face as he belts out his rendition of the song to a sea of music fans without a hint of nervous energy.
But if you want to feel some real chills…
Later in the video, Clarkson calls for the audience to join in when she says:
“Ya’ll sing it with them, I know you know it!”
The call rouses the crowd into action, as everyone starts singing along with the officers. It’s spine-tingling and just gives an incredible and unforgettable feel.
The energy just hits right and is sure to bring smiles to any music lover at the venue or at home watching the video afterwards.
But then, Kelly Clarkson spends a moment to thank her impromptu co-stars
After the performance, Clarkson spends some time sharing the stories about these incredible performers. She talks about how talented they are and how one officer’s musical ability may be a big part of how he and his wife met.
It’s a touching moment that helps show that these officers are excellent members of their community.
But who are these two officers exactly?
The internet has no shortage of talented officers. But these two officers got their start when they turned on their dashcam to belt out their own rendition of “Love Ballad”. The entertaining rendition reached the internet and spread like wildfire.
A local news anchor even caught up with the pair to record a video where they sang “Summer Nights” in the patrol car.
As it turns out, Kelly Clarkson noticed them too, and that is how this incredible show came to be.
So we can imagine that Clarkson had to call the officers on stage when she noticed them in the crowd. She had to have known that they’d take to the stage with poise and confidence and would add so much to the show for her lovely fans. It turns out that she was very right.
