British-Australian singer, songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John recorded “Hopelessly devoted to you” for Grease: The Original Soundtrack from the Motion Picture (1978).
Now we all know Grease, and we certainly know the movie’s stars, namely John Travolta and the late Olivia Newton-John.
But not everyone knows this song, weirdly enough.
Or maybe they do but they just didn’t realize it was from the movie and Newton-John.
She was a four-time Grammy Award winner with a music career that includes 15 top ten singles, including 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
Our beloved Sandy Olsson passed away on August 8, 2022 at the age of 73 after a long battle.
Thanks to singing stars like P!nk, the world won’t forget Olivia Newton-John’s music anytime soon.
And you know you’re special when artists like P!nk covers one of your hits on stage.

P!nk’s been at it since the 90’s, just probably not as big a star as she should be as compared to the pop acts of the time.
If singing talent was the only standard, she’d be up there.

Now it’s one thing to record a rendition of a classic in a studio.
But it takes a whole lot of guts to cover one live on stage, at such an important event.
This is the 2022 American Music Awards Awards, and her audience were the many stars of today. Guts!
P!nk sang as photos of Olivia Newton-John, were displayed on stage throughout this awesome performance.
The singer shared an Instagram post before this performance in which she discussed honoring Newton-John.
“She was an icon with a beautiful voice and an even bigger presence, always kind,” she wrote of Newton-John. “I look forward to honoring her tonight.”
Husband Carey Hart and their two children Willow, 11, and Jameson, 5, were in attendance so way to go, mom!
P!nk had this to add,
“I had the pleasure of being around her several times and she was as darling as you would imagine.
She was such an icon, and it’s a really big honor to be able to sing her.”
The world is grateful for Newton-John, and in awe of P!nk’s immense talent.
It’s one of those performances that will have you hitting repeat or play over and over again.
The cameras eventually focus on different members of the audience and they’re all reacting the same.
Smiling, singing along, swaying together, and just getting all emotional thanks to P!nk’s insane pipes.
And somewhere out there, Olivia is smiling with pride.
It’s not an easy song to sing either, what with the range it commands and all.
But P!nk’s nailed it perfectly. PERFECTLY!
And when she ends the performance, she bows to a standing ovation that’s well deserved. More!
